Yoga today was solid session. Felt good about the wrist recovery and
things have loosened up well after the class. Need to follow up with
tracking and more movement with biking or walking later today so we can
achieve greater balance between the life forces (mental, spiritual,
physical).
Had a thought about increasing meditation
(need to get back to at least 2 a day with possible increased on regular
cycles) and tank work with an emphasis on a goal towards 4 hour tank
ride. This may be a good opportunity to reach
and advanced state with the combined relaxation and spiritual techniques.
While
walking this evening, there were several brief flashes of stillness
within. As I walked and with proper rhythmic breathing, I found
several points of body position the felt an ease in the strides and a
place within me with no longing in my thoughts, more of a place of
mindfulness and awareness without any desire or wants to be anywhere
else, no expectations of the next thing, simply being. Felt a oneness
with nature when these moments were experienced. Need to imprint these feelings as a place-marker
and see if they can be used as road map points of interest to return to
these places and expand further.
A thought dawned on me
that Yogananda and his awareness of Christ truly brings the religious
concepts together from Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and all similar things.
His awareness provides insight that perhaps Christ was indeed a great
master as others before and after with obvious glory in his being. It is
his journey into god being within that make him the son of god not a
birthing and physical existence type of thing. This makes great sense to
me when I sort through the history and tales of his life. There are
places in religion and dogma that tend to warp his words and experiences
but these are not necessarily attributable to his powers and and wisdom
on the path within, possibly just the lack of human ability to translate the
experience to words?
I was guided to work on a web page to expand upon the concepts of yoga / meditation / floatation tank work. Perhaps a combined theme of these areas. The site would replace the personal web site that is in much need of an update and upgrade.
